Important note to friends and colleagues - after spending 12 years in the field of helping globally mobile students and their families I have decided to retire this chapter of my life and move into new pursuits. It has been a wonderful journey and I have had the opportunity to travel the globe to deliver talks and trainings that I truly believe have made a difference in the lives of many. 

I have met some amazing people that I whole heartedly admire and whose works have inspired me tremendously. There are lots of younger players coming up in the field now who will continue to carry on this work with their own fresh ideas and lots of passion. With that knowledge I can move on to other things I've been wanting to do for many years now.

My last scheduled Training of Trainers workshop will be held in October 2019 at the German European School Singapore. Please check back for specific dates.

TRANSITIONING SUCCESSFULLY FOR UNIVERSITY Two-Day Training of Trainers Program

Who is it for?

The Transitioning Successfully for University Training of Trainers Program is structured for individuals and organizations working with adolescent third culture kids (TCKs), cross-cultural kids (CCKs) and international students and their families, whether they are making the college / university transition or repatriating to their home country. This could be but is not limited to:

- international school guidance counselors

- boarding school admissions staff or counselors

- college admissions counselors

- international educators

- educational consultants

- college or university staff working with international students

- international student advisors.

The Transitioning Successfully for University student seminar helps, TCKs, CCKs, and international students:

- understand how their life experiences may make them feel different from their domestic peers.

- understand how they can live out those differences in a positive way.

- have a road map for how to be successful and happy in college or university.

- carry with them a degree of self-knowledge and self-respect that will launch them into their futures.

- better understand themselves, their reactions and their resources as they adjust to their new life situations.

- be prepared for the transition experience with fewer stumbling blocks along the way.

- thrive in their home away from home.

- come away with tools and strategies for successfully navigating the transition.

What is it?

TheTraining of Trainers Program is a two-day workshop and Professional Development opportunity that trains eligible participants to put on their own workshops for students, parents, and staff. They come away with all the materials needed to formulate their own workshops on university transition, the transition experience, third culture kids and cross-cultural kids profiles and more.
